Q. Do I need to do anything to the phone (or device) before I apply the GIA Cell Guard?
A. For best adhesion, clean the area with a mild soap and water. Apply the GIA Cell Guard to a dry, flat surface, as close to the antenna as possible. If there is no visible antenna (internal antenna), place the Cell Guard as close to the back center as you can or wherever convenient. Easy instructions come with the product.

Q. Can I move my GIA Cell Guard from one cell phone to another cell phone?
A. We do NOT recommend moving a Cell Guard from one phone to another- unless it is the exact same make and model as the original cell phone, OR it operates on the same frequency range (consult manual or your carrier). Different phones emit and receive different frequency ranges, and because of that reason, the Cell Guard cannot usually be transferred and maintain its effectiveness.

Q. Will the GIA Cell Guard affect the signal strength of my phone?
A. NO! The GIA Cell Guard will NOT affect the signal strength of your cell phone.

Q. Is the GIA Cell Guard water and heat resistant?
A. Yes, the GIA Cell Guard is water and heat resistant.

Q. What is the difference between the GIA Cell Guard and the GIA Universal Guard?
A. While both devices contain the same patented polymer material, there are 3 key differences between the GIA Universal Guard and the GIA Cell Guard: The size of the guard, their shapes, and their packaging. The Cell Guard is packaged individually and in a 4 pack, while the Universal Guards come in packs of 2, 6 and 12.

Q. If I use the HandsFree Airtube Headset, do I still need to put a Cell Guard on my phone?
A. Yes, you still want to have the GIA Cell Guard on your cell phone. The best combination to address both the exposure to EMR emitted from your cell phone and providing you with hands-free convenience is by using the GIA Cell Guard and the HandsFree Airtube Headset together.

Q. If I have a form-fitting protective case where there is no room to place the Cell Guard in between the case and the phone, can I install the Cell Guard on the outside of the case?
A. Yes, you can place the Cell Guard on the outside of the protective case. The case does not block the radiofrequency waves being emitted by the phone, so the Cell Guard is still going to be activated. The new GIA Cell Guard “Sliver”, however, is more streamlined and should fit very well between the case and the phone. Just keep in mind that due to its smaller size, the amount of polymer is also reduced and thus has lesser “lifespan.” (See below)

Q. How does the patented MRET polymer get injected into the GIA Cell Guard? How can I detect the MRET polymer inside the Guard?
A. Yes. Please refer to the following document (PDF).

Q. How long is the MRET polymer effective?
A. The patented polymer contained in the Cell Guard “Classic” reaches structural fatigue after 3 years of continuous usage. The patented polymer contained in GIAs Cell Guard “Sliver” reaches structural fatigue after 1 year of continuous usage. To assure optimal and continuous performance of the technology, we recommend that you replace your Cell Guard(s) accordingly.

Q. Is there a money-back guarantee?
A. Yes, there is a 30-day money back guarantee on all GIA Wellness products. If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, you can return the item within 30 days of your purchase date for a refund. Please contact the GIA Wellness customer service at the contact information on your receipt/invoice.
